Day 1: Arrival / Stone Town

Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be met by an Ubora Adventures representative and driven to your hotel. The old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar, Stone Town is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques, and grand Arab houses that have remained unchanged for the past 200 years. After checking in to your hotel, you will have the rest of the day to relax or explore the city and visit its historical monuments.

Day 2: Stone Town

Today you will go on a tour of Stone Town, followed by a boat trip to Changuu Island. You will visit the most scenic parts of the old town and have enough time to explore its historical monuments. After lunch at one of the best restaurants in the city, you will catch a local boat to visit Changuu Island, located about 5 km off the coast of Stone Town. This charming little island is  home to several giant Tortises and beautiful peacocks that live and breed on the island. You can relax on the white sandy beach and participate in optional activities such as snorkeling, or simply stretch out and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. In the evening, you will return to Stone Town.

Day 3: Jozani Forest

Today you will visit Jozani Forest, one of the last remaining sanctuaries in the world for red colobus monkeys. You will have the opportunity to see these rare creatures and take wonderful photos on the pathways through the forest reserve. After exploring the forest, you will drive to Jambiani Village, where you will meet villagers working in different professions and learn about the history and culture of the village. You will visit a traditional herbalist who will show you local medicines, herbs, and their uses, and an organic plantation where seaweed farms are run by women. This is a great opportunity to learn about the unique culture and diverse environment of Zanzibar’s villages and meet Swahili people. In the evening, you will return to your hotel.

Day 4: Kizimbani Village / Pwani Mchangani Beach

 After breakfast, you will visit Kizimbani Village for a Spice Tour. Tropical fruit here is abundant and you will have the opportunity to taste as many as you would like! During the tour you wil learn about many different plants and spices that zanzibar is famous for growing and exporting. Some of these plants and spices are the henna bush, perfume tree, and lipstick tree, and some spices like cinnamon, clove, black pepper, nutmeg, among many many others. After the Spice Tour, you will drive for 50 minutes (60 km) to your next destination, Pwani Mchangani Beach where you will stay for the night and relax on the beaches of the crystal blue indian ocean. 

Day 5 & 6: Kisiwa on the Beach & Pwani Mchangani Beach

Kisiwa On The Beach is a perfect hub for a romantic holiday the property is among one of the top destinations for romantic get-aways and you will see why for yourself. The estate features an intimate layout, stunning views from every room, and a beautifully landscaped gardens. 

Day 7: Visit  Nungwi

 Nungwi is a village located on the north coast of the island of Zanzibar and is known for its beautiful beaches snorkeling at Mnemba Atoll. Mnemba Atoll is a circular coral reef that is home to many different varieties of colorful marine life. If you are lucky you may even get to swim with Sea Turtles.  Return to Kisiwa on the Beach in the evening for a romantic dinner on the beach lit by an amber campfire. 

Day 8: Departure

One of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport in Zanzibar in time for your flight.
