Tour Overview

Experience the best of both worlds on a bush-to-beach safari in Tanzania. Start your journey in the heart of the African wilderness, exploring the vast savannahs and diverse wildlife of national parks such as the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. You’ll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five and other iconic animals, as well as witness the Great Migration and explore ancient historical sites. After spending several days in the bush, you’ll head to the coast to relax and unwind on the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar. Here you can soak up the sun, swim in crystal clear waters, and explore the rich culture and history of the island. With a mix of adventure and relaxation, this safari offers the perfect balance of excitement and rejuvenation.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive in Arusha and transfer to overnight stay in the city. Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha airport, you will be greeted by a representative who will then transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for overnight stay at a local hotel.

Day 2: Tarangire / Lake Manyara

 You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and set off for Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive where you will have the opportunity to see many elephants and other members of the big 5. Around mid-day, we will stop and have a bush lunch and a lesson on wildlife in the national parks we will visit in the coming weeks. Next, we travel to  Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon safari drive and overnight stay in a lodge/tented camp. 

Day 3: Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro Crater

Today we will have a morning safari drive in Lake Manyara, then transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay in a lodge/tented camp. After breakfast at the lodge/tented camp, enjoy your morning game viewing in Lake Manyara with a packed lunch inside the park, later transfer to lodge/ tented camp in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Crater below from the terrace as the sun sets. Overnight at lodge/tented camp in Ngorongoro.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Half-day safari drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater or visit a local village to make some handcrafts. Afternoon we will relax and enjoy the facilities of a beautiful lodge/tented camp or embark on optional activities like short nature walks, a visit to the Masaai Bomas, or bird watching. Overnight at lodge/tented camp in Ngorongoro 

Day 5-7: Serengeti National Park

 After breakfast set off for Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, commonly named as “The Cradle of Mankind” where an anthropological site gave us a glimpse into the early years of human evolution. Activities available are half day safari drives, nature walks in the Serengeti Plains, balloon safari,or horseback riding. Overnight at a lodge/tented camp in Serengeti National Park 

Day 8-13: Zanzibar Islands

Here is a suggestion for your 5 days in Zanzibar:

1. After you arrive at your hotel in Stone Town. You will have the opportunity to take a stroll through the narrow streets and historic buildings of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
2. On the second day, after breakfast, visitors can take a guided tour of Stone Town, including visits to the House of Wonders, the Arab Fort, and the Old Dispensary. After lunch, you  may head to Jozani Forest to explore the nature reserve and see the endangered Red Colobus Monkeys. After this excursion, you will return to Stone Town for an overnight stay. 
3. On the third day, after breakfast, visitors will take a boat trip to the north coast of the island for snorkeling and swimming in the crystal-clear waters, and in the afternoon, take a sunset cruise to see the beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. 
4. On the fourth day, after breakfast, visitors will take a tour of the island’s spice farms to learn about the history and cultivation of spices such as cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon and in the afternoon, drive to the east coast to enjoy the beautiful beaches and swimming in the Indian Ocean. 
5. On the last day, after breakfast, visitors will be driven to the airport or ferry terminal for departure from Ubora Adventures.
